Revelocity’s first Mountain Bike Race was fun and successful

The inaugural Toonie Mountain Bike Race was a fun and successful event on the Mount Macpherson trails, with 13 racers attending, and six volunteers running the event. The racers were all smiles at the end of the race as the course was a blast, and over $400 in prizes were awarded. The men's podium consisted of Brendan Macintosh (winning a cycling jersey), Rich Hamilton and Don Robertson. Melanie Bernier not only won the women's race, but also the biggest draw prize, a cycling helmet. Sarah Newton and Atsuko Knight rounded out the women's podium. Special thanks to everyone who raced, the volunteers, and our sponsors. Details on Race No. 2 will be posted soon at bikerevelstoke.org. Photo courtesy of Pete Smillie
