Do you know a real Champion of Literacy?

The Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy (CBAL) is pleased to announce that its call for nominations for the Revelstoke Champions for Literacy Award is now open.

A Champion for Literacy nominee can be a Revelstoke individual, organization, service group or business. Nominations can be made to honour: commitment to literacy, innovation and creativity which inspires or motivates others to learn, supporting literacy work, or being a strong community advocate for literacy.

CBAL wants to honour those who have made a significant contribution to literacy and learning in Revelstoke. Nomination forms can be emailed, mailed or dropped off at the Revelstoke Child Care Society/CBAL offices in room 106 at 1401 First Street West or the Revelstoke branch of the Okanagan Regional Library at the Community Centre.

You can download a nomination form by clicking here. Nomination forms are also available via e-mail or can be picked up at Revelstoke Child Care Society/Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy Offices, Okanagan Regional Library, Okanagan College and Revelstoke Community Centre.

Deadline for nominations is Friday, August 20, and the Community Literacy Award will be given on International Literacy Day, Wednesday September 8.
