MLA Norm Macdonald and the Opposition Critic for Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Spencer Chandra Herbert, will be in Revelstoke on Wednesday, June 16.
Chandra Herbert, MLA for Vancouver-West End, will be meeting with stakeholders and residents to discuss how to strengthen the tourism, arts and culture sectors in the area.
Between 1:30 – 3 pm, Macdonald and Chandra Herbert will be touring the Nickelodeon Museum, the Art First Gallery and the Revelstoke Museum.
At 3:30 pm, the critic will be meeting with members of the arts and culture community at the Revelstoke Railway Museum.
A reception, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, will follow at 5 pm, where Chandra Herbert will be joined by Chris Dadson, President of Kootenay Rockies Tourism. Chandra Herbert will be speaking about the effects of HST on the tourism sector. Dadson will be discussing the integration of Tourism BC into the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts. The Chamber reception is open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
