Doris Finn passed away at Mt. Cartier Court Extended Care, Revelstoke on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the age of 95 years. A Funeral Service will be held at the Revelstoke United Church on Friday afternoon, July 2 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Ken Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot of Mountain View Cemetery, Revelstoke. Pallbearers are: Mike Martiniuk, John Tasko, Jim Floyd, Bill Straga, Cliff Wolgram and Todd Wolgram. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice, in memory of Doris.
Doris was born in Revelstoke, B.C. on July 21, 1914 and had been a life-long resident. She was a lifetime member of the Royal Purple Lodge and the Revelstoke United Church and a 60-year member of the U.T.U. Lodge. Doris loved her family and took great pride in her children, Lillian and Ron. As a life-long resident of Revelstoke, she lived her life to the fullest.
Doris was predeceased by her loving husband Cornelius (Connie), son Ron, sisters: Marge, Lillian and Ruth and brother Lloyd. She is survived by her daughter Lillian (John) Opra of Revelstoke; daughter-in-law Fern Finn of Richmond; four grandchildren: Carren Opra of Toronto, Sherri Floyd (Murray) of Cranbrook, Terry Finn of Surrey, Wayne Finn of Naramata; six great grandchildren: Ashley Atchison of Cranborok, Ashton Floyd of Cranbrook, Caydence Floyd of Cranbrook, Andrew Finn of Surrey, Jeremy Finn of Surrey and Joel Finn of Surrey as well as many nieces and nephews and her wonderful friend Aki Yamamoto.
