Are you ready for the Relay for Life? You should be! It starts at 10 am today at Centennial Park.
This annual event has rapidly become a remarkable community gathering with friends, families and the just-plain-curious coming to see who’s running or walking for which team.
The Celebrate Ceremony begins at 10 am with the Survivors’ Lap scheduled for 10:20 followed by a Team Lap at 10:30 and a photo op for Survivors at 10:40.
There will be food, of course, and lots of entertainment. with musical performances by Sharon Shook at 12:30, Donna Hanna’s Band at 2, the Swing Monkeys at 6, Mr. Rogers at 7:15 and the Maritime Kitchen Band at 8:45. It’s likely going to be a hot day so if you’re feeling hot and sweaty why not cool down by getting your head shaved during the Hair Removal for a Cause event at 4:45.
The raffle and draws will be held at 9, followed by the Closing Ceremonies. At 10 pm it will all be over. Don’t miss it. Come early and enjoy yourself.
