Stretching your family’s food budget is not always an easy thing to do, but there are ways to do it and a new program being offered by Community Connections can show you how to do it.
Food Skills for Families on a Smart Budget will provide hands-on cooking experience to people with limited cooking skills. Participants in this program will also walk away with new recipes they can try every week.
They’ll also learn about nutrition, healthy foods and they’ll get a guided grocery tour.
The program, which is being offered weekly, starts on Wednesday, May 19, at 10 am at the Community Connections offices at 314 Second Street East.
