Do you recognize this bank robbery suspect?

Police are searching for a robbery suspect (please see the images below) after the Revelstoke Branch of the CIBC was held up earlier today.  Police received the report just after 10 a.m. that a male had entered the branch and produced a note demanding money.  There was an indication that he had a firearm however nothing was produced.  The man made off with an undisclosed amount of money.  No one was injured during the holdup.

The male is described as being caucasian and in his 40s, appeared to have a brush cut and was wearing glasses, a blue ball cap and pyjama type pants.  Security cameras in the bank captured the suspect in the bank’s ATM lobby just prior to the robbery without his hat and glasses disguise.

The Revelstoke Forensic Identification Section examined the scene and the investigation is continuing.  Police are hoping that releasing the security footage will help identify the suspect.

If you have information on this, or any other crime, contact the Revelstoke RCMP Detachment at (250)837-5255 or your local police department or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or leave your information anonymously online at www.bccrimestoppers.com.  You do not have to reveal your identity to Crime Stoppers.  If you provide information to Crime Stoppers that leads to an arrest, or a conviction or the recovery of stolen property or the seizure of illicit drugs, you could be eligible for a cash reward.

This was the second time this year that someone has robber this branch of the CIBC. In February, a transgendered federal parolee was arrested after a chase by automobile and on foot and charged with robbing the branch. He attempted to escape in a bright yellow Ford Mustang. He was captured after a short chase.

Here are surveillance camera images of the suspect in Monday’s robbery:
