Public asked to vote on a name for the ORL Mascot

The Okanagan Regional Library received over 1,100 unique entries in its Name the Marmot Contest from throughout the ORL region covering Golden to Osoyoos. ORL staff had the tough job of narrowing down the list to a top 10, consisting of Booker, Bookster, Browser, Chapter, Dewey Lovitt, Flippy LePage, Morley, ORLee, Paige Turner, and Robbie Readsalot.

The public can now have their say about what they think the name of the ORL marmot should be by voting at www.orl.bc.ca/kids/marmot. Voting is open until May 20, and the winning name will be announced on May 21. The child suggesting the winning name will receive a customized gift pack valued at $200 created by ORL’s librarians.
