Revelstoke’s new schools: what you see is what we’ll get

Want to see what our community’s new schools will look like?

School District 19 is holding an open house at the RSS gymnasium starting at 5:30 pm this afternoon, Thursday, April 15. Images of the new elementary and high school designs and their associated Neighbourhoods of Learning will be on display with SD 19 officials and representatives of the design team on hand to answer questions.

Here — just to sate some of your curiosity (you’ll have to attend the open house at RSS to really get your fill) — are four artistic conceptions of the designs:

This full-colour rendering of a hall at the soon-to-be-built elementary school, originally published in The Current on March 26, gives you a tantalizing glimpse of what our new schools will look like. You can see all of the artistic renderings and scale models at today's open house from 5:30 until 8 pm at the RSS gym. If you want to see what the future looks like you will want to attend this event. Image courtesy of School District 19
