Revelstoke wood goes from the Olympics to the Legislature

Community Forest Corporation Chairman Geoff Battersby (left) presented Mayor David Raven with a poster created by Downiw Timber to highlight the local wood that was used to create what was, arguably, the most lovely podium used in Whistler at the recent 2010 Vancouver Games. Battersby said the podium may now end up permanently at the Legislature as one more piece of tangible evidence of Revelstoke's importance as a producer of quality timber.
