Thersa Avlina (Anita) Ratcliffe passed away at Queen Victoria Hospital, Revelstoke on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the age of 78 years. A Memorial Reception was held at the Revelstoke United Church on Saturday afternoon, March 13 with family and friends presiding. Cremation.
Anita was born in Vancouver, B.C., on September 24, 1931 and had been a resident of Revelstoke for many years. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters and the United Church in Golden and Terrace. She lived a full and contented life with lots of good friends and a loving family surrounding her. Anita was always sharing, always loving and always giving.
Anita is survived by 10 children: George Ratcliffe of Revelstoke, Robert Ratcliffe of Chilliwack, Annette Hiren (Kathrine Robson) of Lumby, Mary (Jim) Melvin of Lumby, Lee-Ann (Harry) Orth of Medicine Hat, Reginald Ratcliffe of Revelstoke, Marc Hudson of Kelowna, John (Cindy) Ratcliffe of Revelstoke, Judy Kelly of Revelstoke and Georgina (Dean) Bellows of Revelstoke; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements were in the care of Brandon Bowers Funeral Home, Revelstoke.
