School District 19 will hold an open house on April 15 at which it will unveil the plans for Revelstoke’s new elementary and high schools.
“School District #19 representatives and the Design-Build team will be available to answer questions about the design and construction of the new elementary and secondary schools that will be constructed on the RSS site,” said a statement released Thursday by the Board of Trustees.
In January, the board authorized staff to negotiate with Graham Design Builders, a JV, the preferred proponent identified through the Request for Proposals process. The School District has now issued a Letter of Intent to enter into a contract with Graham Design Builders, a JV and the parties expect to be able to sign a contract in the near future.
The open house will be held April 15 from 5:30 until 8 pm at Revelstoke Secondary School. Highlights will include: the elementary and secondary school plans; information on the Neighbourhoods of Learning spaces, including the early learning hub, gymnastics facility and theatre; site plans and construction timelines.
