Well, it’s crunch time.
This is the evening when we’ll discover if Revelstoke will move on in the national Kraft Hockeyville contest. And you, all of the folks who helped make our campaign a memorable one, are invited to the Regent Inn this evening for a party at 6 pm.
That’s when we’ll find out if the volunteers we need will step forward to help. And, if they do, will we be able to able to muster all of the votes we need to win it all?
There will be an adults-only party in the River City Pub and a more family-friendly party in the Begbie Room.
Just in case people have forgotten, stepping ahead into the Top 12 communities in the contest puts us closer to winning $100,000 to upgrade the Forum and an NHL exhibition game at the Forum this autumn. And then — if we win it all — there are unbelievable bragging rights. So the stakes are huge.
We are, realistically speaking, up against Cranbrook and Hazelton. Will we move into the Top 12?
