Ski Club racers continue to excel

The Revelstoke Ski Club’s K2 athletes participated on Feb 4-7th at Panorama Resort in their first of two Provincial meets.  Thursday and Friday saw the athletes compete in the Super G events with speeds clocking in over 90 km/hr. Saturday and Sunday skiers competed in the two run combined GS event.

Alex Duchesne and Chris Wadey received one and two, respectively, most improved awards for the improvements they made from their start position to their finish placement.  The next event in the Teck Kinder K2 series is at Big White on March 6-9 where they will get the chance to ski Super G again as well as Slalom events.

The club’s FIS skiers have just returned from four days of skiing SG and Slalom at Norquay in Banff. Results for those racers can be viewed at:  http://www.bcalpine.com/calendar/event/?event=1150&cal=1

And Revelstoke Ski Club’s K1 skiers have qualified for the BC Winter Games to be held in Terrace March 5-7th.  These are Max Scharf, Mitchell Smith, Callum Hicks and Sonia Schwenck.
