A 37-year-old local woman died on Boulder Mountain on Wednesday when her snowmobile plunged off an embankment and hit a tree, RCMP Staff Sgt. Jacquie Olsen said today.
“She accidentally over-throttled her her snowmobile on a curve and plunged over a 30-foot embankment and struck a tree,” Olsen said. “Despite CPR from other snowmobilers she died at the scene.:
The woman’s identity has not been released at the request of the family, Olsen said.
The accident occurred shortly after 5 pm on a trail about 4.5 kilometres from the base of the mountain.
