Last weekend’s Francophone potluck supper was “beyond my expectations,” says organizer Sarra Dupuis.
“It was a full house and the food was great: turkey, cipâte, sugar pie, cretons and lots more,” she said in an e-mail to The Revelstoke Current.
Dupuis said the event, which was held at the Knights of Pythias hall, attracted a real mishmash of people.
“There was a mix of people: Franco-Ontarians, Fransaskois, Quebecois, Acadians, French from France, etc. Half of them seemed to be newcomers to town (some had arrived that same day!) and the other half were ‘old-timers’ (more than a year or two in town :). We had live music during the evening and a little dancing — just perfect.”
