Members of the Shuswap Columbia District Labour Council talk about labour issues during their Thursday evening meeting in the boardroom of the Community Futures Development Corporation. The Labour Council may join a BC labour-initiated program called Protein for People that plans to distribute 13,000 cans of salmon to Food Banks across the province. At its regular Revelstoke meeting SCDLC directors discussed the project and whether it would benefit people within its jurisdiction. The group decided that it might be able to hold one event in Salmon Arm and one in Revelstoke next year. You can find out more about the Protein for People project at www.proteinproject.ca. David F.
