Madness under the moonlight

A gleaming half moon sailing across a clear and inky sky, people roaming the downtown core in search of great bargains. It had to be the annual Moonlight Madness sale and Friday was a perfect night for it.

All it really needed was a fresh blanket of snow to give it that festive-season look and the city received that blessing (or a curse, depending upon you view of shovelling the white stuff) hours later when fat white flakes began to fall from the sky. Certainly the managers and staff at Revelstoke Mountain Resort must have rubbed their hands with glee when they awoke this morning to find about four or five centimetres on the ground.

And so begins the run up to Christmas, which is just 28 days away. Here are a few images from Moonlight Madness I thought you’d like:

Three local residents — Blommestein, John Baker and Chic Sharp — have published their first books this year. A fourth, Frieda Livesey, will also be publishing one in the weeks to come. David F.
