This was one happy Halloween Party and Haunted House

By David F. Rooney

The family Halloween Party at the Community Centre attracted plenty of attention from local kids and why not? Not only did it feature cookies, games and costumes but a great Haunted House constructed by the kids in Michelle Gadbois’ Grade 7 class at Arrow Heights Elementary.

Inhabited by zombies, ghouls, ghostly phantoms and other things that go bump in the night it was a gently scary and very entertaining exhibition of what you can do with your imagination and some simple effects.

Here are a few photos from this annual event:

The Grim Reaper by the entrance to Monday evening's Halloween Party at the Community Centre appeared to be irresistible to kids. This little wizard was the third child in about four minutes who went and tried to yank the scythe out of his hands. David F. Rooney photo

But scary is as scary does and little Larissa Bruchit didn't seem at all fazed by the caged zombie girls from hell. Of coursed, she was safely holding on to her mother Marie-Eve's hand. David F. Rooney photo
