Karin Wahlstrom and John Malthais enjoy a game of squash at the squash club downtown, perhaps practicing their techniques for the upcoming Bear’s Den Classic III squash tournament, which takes place October 15-18. Players will be coming from all over the interior. Divisions include Men’s A, B, C and D as well as Ladies’ A/B and C/D. Many local players will be taking part as well. It is a Squash BC-sanctioned tournament and there will be free admission for spectators. According to Kevin Dorius the local squash league is going as well. “League matches are played every Thursday from 7 pm until 10 pm,” he said. “Spectators are more than welcome.” David F.
