Revelstoke’s Halloween House

Jim Walford relaxes again the fence outside his family increasingly spooky-looking home at 217 Fourth Street East. He and his wife, Linda — "Especially Linda," he laughs. — decorate their house in some pretty inventive ways at Halloween every year. "If you come by here on Halloween it will really be something," he said. "There will be all kinds of spooky things here." So far, there are ghouls, witches, decapitated heads, enough fangs for an army of vampires and even a machete-wielding maniac. Providing unforgettable thrills and chills at Halloween has been a Walford family tradition for years and even today up to 200 and sometimes 300 kids will ring the doorbell and say, "Trick or treat!"
