A Reverse Trick-or-Treat Campaign this Halloween will have some Fair Trade Committee volunteers going door-to-door to hand out free Fair Trade-certified chocolate.

When you purchase Fair Trade chocolate, you are choosing to support democratic associations of small-scale cocoa and sugar cane farmers, and making sure they were paid fair prices for their harvests, says Fair Trade Committee member Susan Knight.

Fair Trade Certified chocolate can be found at Cooper’s Foods, Pharmasave, Mountain Goodness Natural Foods, Jus Juiced Cafe, Chocolate Summit and Talisman Fibre and Trading Company.

The local Fair Trade Committee is seeking to have Revelstoke declared a Fair Trade Town.
