YES! You can be an autobiographer

Would you like to write your own autobiography? Personal historian Gillian Hewitt can help you do that through her free presentation, Your Life – One Story at a Time, at the Revelstoke Public Library on Tuesday Sept. 15, at 7 p.m.

Hewitt said in a statement that she will discuss the need for preserving our memories and will introduce audience members to a number of simple and effective strategies for turning family and personal tales into well-written and interesting stories. An opportunity to ask questions will follow her presentation.

Hewitt is a certified instructor with the Turning Memories into Memoirs™ international network of lifewriting teachers. Since establishing her business in 2002, she has, according to her statement, helped people from all walks of life to write their personal and family stories. She has also written and produced over 25 personal, business and community history books.

The said Hewitt plans to hold workshops on Wednesday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Community Centre, starting Sept. 30. No prior writing experience is necessary.
