MLA Norm Macdonald paid a visit to the local ambulance crew's grungy, and smelly, digs over in the Big Eddy next to the Valley Blacktop vehicle bay Tuesday but found that everyone was out on calls, except Antoinette Halberstadt with whom he shared a conversation. The Ministry of Health promises that a new ambulance station will be built by the fall of 2011. In the last four years local paramedics have worked out of the Fire Hall, two different motels and at least one industrial setting. The province did promise to build a new ambulance station, then went back on its word.
