The seemingly tireless staff at the Chamber of Commerce are beating the bushes for novel entertainment and other activities for next weekend’s New Moon Over Mackenzie festival.
The Maritime Kitchen Party, Tanya Lipscomb, Havok Way, the Swing Monkeys, The Rev, Kevin Fox and the Russell Jackson Band will all be performing at various times and venues during the Sept. 19 event.
As well, there will be a climbing wall sponsored by the Credit Union, a Waiter/Waitress Relay Race in front of the Last Drop, a Children’s Play Area sponsored by the Christian City Church, a Model Shoot sponsored by uber-photographer Jason Keerak of Pure Studios, a real special event Just 4 Dogs on the site of the old King Eddy Hotel right behind City Hall, a Cruiser Motorcycle Show ‘n” Snhine at the Village Idiot, a Panzarotti Eating Contest, at outdoor barbeque at the River City Pub, a Zumba demonstration and lots of other things to do and see.
