Birk also said several team members were record-breakers. However, he did not have the actual records available when this Revelstoke Current story was uploaded. Here’s what he said in an e-mail to The Revelstoke Current:

“Records: Division 8 Girls 200m Freestyle Relay composed of Nadia Salon, Rosemary Kelsall, Cynthia Pfeiffer, and Emily Pfeiffer came 1st at Regionals and also beat the old regional record by almost a second. As well, Cynthia Pfeiffer beat the old 100m Backstroke record in the finals on Sunday but unfortunately came second to another record breaker. But she still does count as beating the record.

“Finally our team placed 3rd overall in team points and also won the regional cheer competition, which shows great team spirit.”

Here are some photos of local kids in the water and that great team cheer.
