Knights of Columbus celebrate their Jubilee

Local Knights of Columbus celebrated their Jubilee — that’s their 50th anniversary — two weeks ago with a celebratory Mass, reception and banquet at the St. Francis of Assissi Parish Hall. Their guest of honour and keynote speaker was Bishop John Corriveau (center right), head of the Nelson Diocese. The Capuchin monk spoke to the Knights and their guests about the need to “work hand-in-hand” with other people to make this a better country and world. Afterwards he posed beside the Council 4712’s charter with (from left to right) Revelstoke Mayor David Raven, Grand Knight-elect Blair Van Leur and Grand Knight John Suraci. David F. Rooney photo
