The City issued 19 building permits, 17 of them residential, worth $4.02 million in June — the largest jump in construction this year
The monthly building permit summary showed that the surge in construction brought the total value of permits issued so far this year to $5.9 million. The highest value project licenced last month was a Comprehensive Development Zone permit at Mackenzie Court. That Taylor/MacDonald Construction project is worth $2.45 million.
In June 2008 there were $2.4 million worth of permits issued but the annual total to that point was, at $10.3 million, significantly higher than the total so far this year.
