A 50th birthday party for the TD Canada Trust branch

Revelstoke’s TD Canada Trust branch is celebrating 50 years of serving the people of Revelstoke tomorrow, Friday, October 11, with a reception at noon for customers, staff and the general community.

It will also be donating $5,000 to the North Columbia Environmental Society.

The cake cutting will begin at noon to welcome the next 50 years of service; giveaways and a raffle will follow. TD Canada Trust is located at 406 First Street West.

To mark the occasion the Revelstoke Museum & Archives dug up a few photos from the past:

The Toronto-Dominion Bank opened 50 years ago at this little shopping plaza in downtown Revelstoke. The Shop Easy is now the Red Apple, automotive styles have changed radically over the years and the bank has changed its name to the TD Canada Trust but its service to members of the community hasn't changed at all.
